Hello, I'm darthbeandip, a 29 year old male from central Illinois. My screen name is an injoke from a Star Wars d20 session I ran a few years back, and my ship, Cruiser C-57D, is named for the ship in Forbidden Planet. I've been playing video games since the atari and have owned every major system up to the previous gen (don't have a 360, PS3 or Wii yet). When I got my first computer it wasn't long before I got into Everquest in college. Now I play City of Heroes/Villains and run a clan in Kingdom of Loathing.
I've been into sci-fi, comics, anime, and role-playing since I was ten. It's hard to nail down all my interests, but some of my current favorites are Torchwood, Dr. Who (I grew up on the Tom Baker episodes), Code Geass, and any works by Alan Moore. I only just saw Firefly and Serenity for the first time last month. I loved it immediatly, but each episode was also tough to watch knowing it brought me closer to the all too sudden end.
Hello, I'm a happy Serenity fan, and its hat go me interested in playing Star Pirates. Anyhow, I'm Ruhe in game, as well. I am a pastry chef by trade, so I just do this to get my mind off decorating cakes. (Don't call me Duff...)

Hi there, I'm Remy, captain of the Aeternitas~ Unless I focus very hard on my typing, I usually type in third person so please don't be too surprised if you see me say "Remy this" or "Remy thinks"... It's an old habit that's hard to get rid of.
I'm 19 years old, female, currently working as a nanny until I get my general education credits out of the way. After that, I will be going to school to be a pediatrician. I'm currently in Alaska, USA for 6 weeks to babysit two little girls, but I reside in California, USA and I really miss home. I grew up on the beach, and being surrounded by snow is a little disconcerting... Not to mention, the sun doesn't even rise until around 8 or 9 in the morning, and sets around 4! And before anyone asks, no one in Alaska lives in an igloo. They have nice houses with great heating systems, though it's considered rude if you don't take your shoes off by the door.
I like video games, manga, anime, american comics (Love for Batman, baby), art, music, novels, movies... My favorite color is purple, my favorite food are those teriyaki chicken -or steak - rice bowls, and I love felines of all sizes as well as dragons (though wolves and foxes are, I must admit, rather awesome). I hope to travel someday and see all sorts of places, and I enjoy taking landscape photographs. My real passion is art, I love drawing and painting either traditionally or digitally, but I want to be a pediatrician for... Er... Complicated reasons? Hah. I do like children (hence the nanny job), but...
Ah, I digress! But that's a bit too detailed. Sorry, I get chatty when I'm lonely. Er... I'm friendly enough I suppose. Everyone has their bad days, but I'm usually in a good mood so feel free to ask me any questions that come to mind!

Came to Star Pirates through an ad for the webcomic Dungeons & Denizens (just discovered it, so I can't really say I'm a regular reader yet, but it's got me very interested), and when I saw there was a Firefly/Serenity based Fleet (actually two; I tried to join Browncoats first, and they snickered and said, "You? You too puny, little man!"...not in so many words, though), well, I just had to sign up.

Hi everyone. I'm a 30 year old college student studying Computer Engineering technologies and working in an electronics lab selling parts. I'm in the process of getting my liefe together after screwing it.
I enjoy table top prgs, on line text based and most any other style. I haven't LAPRed before and don't have the money to get heavily involved in an MMORPG right now. I began gaming as a girl back in the 80s with an Atari. I like Pac Man and Q- Bert and all those. I moved onto Nintendo but I kind of stopped and got into some other things. Also, gaming and gaming systems kept getting more expensive and harder to see. I have very bad eyesight.
As for now, this game isall I'm really playing.
I've gotten into Cyber Nations and Nation States (and NSii) as well, but I quit those after a while.
I have many many other interests. Like many here, I am a nerd and theroughly enjoy sci- fi and fantasy, but I'm also into history and mythology as well as studying world religions. I have gotten into studying various places around the world too, including Russia, Sweden and Lithuania (long story, don't ask, and yes did play basketball when I was a kid and was quite good at it). I'm quite interested in a few obscure varieties of paganism as well. YouTube is another hobby of mine, but I tend to get into discussions religion and related topics, things that people don't come here for. So I won't plug my channel.
So that's me in a nut shell.
Right now, I'm interested in building my stats and leveling. I am attempting to earn enough money and stats to upgrade. I'm still quite a newb in Star Pirates.
My style in play in all games in one of being well rounded and decidedly not hack and slash. I love a good battle, but looking for fights, imho, make a game uninterested in ususally isn't smart. I am more of a business person who employs piracy as a means of doing business, not a savage merauder of the skies or something. I'm interested in role play, business doels and the occasional fight.
I also would like some one to do an icon for me. Where should I go in the forum to ask about that?

As far as getting yourself an avitar or icon, there's no special place in the forums here, but you might want to try Mass Messaging the fleet within the Star Pirates game, and see if anyone might be willing to help you out

Hi, I'm starr, thanks for inviting me to join the fleet. I started playing this weekend and really like it. I've been playing Travian for nearly a year and am tired of it - I keep wishing the Natars or whatever would just raze the place already!
I'm American, 35, married no kids. I've always been into sci fi, D+D, and all that kind of stuff (maybe because I have three brothers and no sisters).
I've only seen Firefly and Serenity once, and unfortunately didn't know about the episodes being out of order on the DVD, so one of these days I need to watch the whole thing again the way it was meant to be watched. I'm currently watching Smallville s7 for the second time before diving into s8 for the first.

I'm new to Serenity and Star Pirates, where you'll find me as "Jake Chang." I've been a huge Firefly fan ever since I was introduced to it about four years ago.
In RL I live in eastern Pennsylvania, USA. Nothing much else to tell about myself, really - I lead a pretty dull life.
