One of the popular suggestions is to use Mining Requirements as a goal for research. Not so much researching in relation to level, especially with the lower-level Mining areas, but to help get an idea of how to balance the 3 different kinds of research. novatora Guest	Posted: Sun Aug 10, 2008 11:24 am    Post subject:   I used to run a RPB (Rocket-Propelled Bus) rig, but I'm starting to balance out now. I'm level 26 and doing focusing on research. I was running around at: Level 24 Weapons 125 Defense 500 Weapons 500 Now Level 26 Weapons 300 Defense 500 Weapons 500 My goal is to get 500 straight across the board, then grind defense for: Weapons 500 Defense: 1250 Engines: 500 But maybe I'll change my mind. Having played it for some time, I really do believe in the RPB build. You just have to keep your stats up to do it.

I just had a happy moment. I was pushing my engines up to 1000 so I could start a new mining job, and when I got there and tried to switch, my level was too low. Time to start attacking people again!

Level: 27 Weapons: 500 Defense: 700 Engines: 500 Right now my main source of exp is the Deep Belt and the couple of people who are of my level who haven't been grinding Defense as hard as me. Trying to get to that next mining gig. Then will work on Engines and Weapons to bring them back up to my defense. It's always somewhat satisfying when someone of your level who is notorious splatters on you. Edit: With a Warship Mk. II no less! Mwahahaha.
