Welcome to Serenity!
Now that you're all registered and have read all the rules (you DID read them, right??), post a little something about who you are and what you do! You can include your age, where you're from, what you've studied/what your profession is, your gaming history, pictures, etc. Be as open or conservative as you wish.
I will start you off with a short description of myself. I am 23, I live in Illinois, and am currently in my last year studying Music Education and English. I play the French horn, and am a total band nerd. If you make any lame American Pie "band camp" jokes I will kick you in the shins and ban you from the forums I enjoy reading and am currently obsessed with the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer. I absolutely love to watch movies (mostly scifi and action), and am very much an animal person (dogs and cats both).
My gaming history started with my brothers and nintendo, and I gave up after SuperNintendo, since I couldn't find anything better than Chrono Trigger. Online gaming started with the beta of Matrix Online, and spread out to Star Wars Galaxies, and when I became broke, free MMOs like 9Dragons and Rappelz. I've tried Ogame, but Star Pirates is my favorite browser game, and I'm currently awaiting the release of an MMO based on the TV series Stargate.

Yay! A forum at last. :)
I'm a 22-year old redhead from Finland, living in a small town in the middle of nowhere. I work in a flower shop during the daytime and at night I try to finish the college studies I foolishly quit when I was younger.
I live with two cats, enjoy all typical nerdy stuff like computer games, roleplaying games and sci-fi and fantasy literature and movies. I also like dancing, and music (mainly the old school goth rock and the newer dark wave / ebm / industrial edge) plays a big part in my life even though I don't play any instrument myself. My special talent is singing loud and with dissonance in the shower, and my achilles' heels are leather shoes and velvet corsets. :)
I've been playing online games for some years now, mainly Dominion, Travian, Utopia and Ogame. At the moment I'm playing only Ogame on top of Star Pirates.
I might update this post later in the event I come up with something more to tell about boring old me.

Sup I am Hgghg4, I am a 19 year old male from the USA. I am currently in the middle of the US but soon I will be going out of country as I am in the Military. I have been playing Computer games since 12 with Need for Speed 1 and the Original Command & Conquer. My ship Name is Everyone Underestimates Me.... I also play other browser games Such as Tribal Wars and Astro Empires both Delta and Epsilon Servers... If I am inactive for a week or more please don't boot me.. I will be back... unless I state specifically I am quitting or something else... Some of my interests are RTS games and random Weapons (Please don't call me the typical American ) Anyway, you have all seen my random messages to the fleet trying to get us together... I am boisterous and can be obnoxious in a good way. I Voice my opinion rather vocally though... Well... catch yall in the game!
I am PoisonStorm, I am a 22 year old male, and live in Pittsbugh PA. My ship's (new) name is Rowlett's Revenge, which comes from the game Freelancer. My degree is in Network Administration, but really I just needed something that said I knew about computers. I generally enjoy working in either a help desk or desktop department(s) of a company, as it is the most fun to troubleshoot things :- ).
Outside of this game I have played Age of Chaos (http://www.chaoticage.com/), as well as some Travian (I use http://www.travian.us/ but you can use the .com to select your country of choice). I also played the original Guild Wars, and am now completely hooked on World of Warcraft, and it’s Expansion(s). In the past played Tribes, Starcraft, Age of Empires, Age of Mythology, and the Star Wars version of AoE. I like RTS and MMO style games.
I am a big fan of most 'main stream' sci-fi shows, Stargate, Stargate Atlantis, Eureka, things like that. But I also have seen a few of the older ones on Scifi's weekday lineup. I am also a huge Buffy/Angel fan and own all but one season of Angel because I have been too lazy to buy it.
In my time away from both Star Pirates, and World of Warcraft you can find me posting on the Customer Support, and Technical Support forum on World of Warcraft's website. I generally post as a level 70 Orc Warlock named Tagnen.
Also since we all know there is no girls on the 'internetz' then you must either be an AI, or a guy portending to be a girl :- ). And no I do not like emoticons.

I hear ya there! I'm a 32 yr old father who spent a lot of foolish days in my 20s and now paying the price of it. (But I'm not referring to my daughter who is wonderful.)
I work as a web designer for an institution of higher education in New England.
My username comes from the character in Star Trek the Next Generation who meant well, but always kept screwing up due to debilitating shyness. What he has to do with Pirates, I don't know, but then again, we're all here because of a love of Sci-Fi amirite?!
Anyway, my ship is the indomitable Wesley Crusher named after that character in Star Trek TNG that everyone loves to hate.

Did you ever see Reg in Voyager? He was much more in control then.

Anyway...
Graphic Designer by trade, and things get quite boring around here (I AM the graphics department for a small manufacturing company).
Most of my online gaming time is done at home and in World of Warcraft. But Space Pirates is perfect for screwing around with at work! I'm usually quite self sufficient with my online gaming, and I'm willing to lend a hand here and there.
BIG fan of the ill fated TV series Firefly, and of course the movie that the fleet is named after, so I HAD to sign up!
Hello, I am a 38 year old maie in Minnesota. Started playing with the original Pong, an Atari 2600 and was envious of my friends with their nintendos. Current systems are computer and the Wii as my Xbox broke. Recently completed Lego Indiana Jones and Star Wars and need to pick up Lego Batman. Currently am playing Zelda Dark Princess and Resident Evil 4 (it came with the system) Online ID is narfster on any sites I log on to including Kingdom of Loathing, livejournal and others. Work for a Nonprofit doing accounting/business but are in charge of the IT also so can keep online in the background. Have all 10 seasons of Stargate and loved the Firefly series and movies so joined up when I saw the name!
I'm so excited to see Stargate fans here I, too, own all 10 seasons of SG-1, the first 3 seasons of SG:A, and the 2 new movies in addition to the original...
What's up Serenity. I'm Sicks06, a 20 year old male living in Houston, TX. (I was born in Mexico, though.)
I quit college, and launched myself as an entrepreneur. I started my own company (Unlimited Graphics & Design) which sucks right now, but one day it won't. I like doing graphic design. I know how to use the programs pretty good, I just lack imagination. I wanted to study graphic design but I hated going to school.
I have always loved video games. Can't afford a 360, but I love my original XBOX. I love computer games, but never had enough money to buy a lot of 'em. I am a big fan of RTS, Flight Sims, and pretty much anything with the Space theme, the Military theme, or Aviation theme. (Always wanted to be a fighter pilot. I want to fly an F-16, which happens to be my Fave jet) Some of the games that I've enjoyed the most are Jane's USAF, Counter-Strike, Homeworld, Tachyon: The Fringe, Freelancer, Starcraft, and a couple of others. I have always wanted to play Eve Online, but I haven't had the chance. I am currently playing Astro Empires (which I think is awesome, I recommend it.) on the Epsilon Server. And I am a HALO freak.
I started late on the Stargate Series. I just finished Season Two and just a couple hours ago I was driving all around town looking for Season Three. All the places that I knew had them were closed, and Wal-Mart only had seasons One and Two. But I am a loyal Stargate fan now. I also enjoyed Firefly right up to the moment they cancelled it. Other shows I enjoy (or used to) are Fastlane, John Doe, House MD, Heroes, Battlestar Galactica, Prison Break, and others. Sorry to disappoint some people here, but I've yet to see an episode of Star Trek. (I will, though). Well, seeing as how I have written a whole book, I'll let y'all go. Laters.

Currently residing in the Sacramento, CA region of the US. Currently dating a member of the Fleet. FYI: bubblesandhearts has my heart around her little finger. Am considered by some to be a hard core gamer, have been doing gaming from 1978 till current. Started with D&D basic and it has brought me to here.. Curse you TSR. Well back to the wonderful world of Starpirates, when I think of more to add to this, I will.

I'm Tam (KitsuneTam in game). I started playing because my fiance (Flumenos, of The Raven Black) plays a lot. (If you can't beat 'em, join 'em...) I've been enjoying it quite a bit. I'm 29 and I live in central NC. I was born in Iowa, the one with the corn I like cats (I have 2) and foxes (don't have any of those though).
